News & Events

Advent Adoration at St. Mary’s
Prepare for the coming of Christ in Eucharistic Adoration at beautiful and historic St. Mary’s Church in Utica each Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. There will be a meditation by an area priest, and time for silent prayer and Confession.

Year End Statements
We are happy to send giving statements for tax purposes at the beginning of the New Year. If you gave using your envelope we will send your statement, no need to request it specifically.

Christmas Flower Memorials
Use the red bordered envelope in your contribution packets to submit names for our memorial listing. We ask that you clearly print the names of your deceased loved ones. A memorial listing will appear in our Christmas weekend bulletin and a short video will be uploaded to the parish’s Facebook page. All donations received help beautify the church with flowers and other decorations.

Tortellini & Pasta Sauce
Cold weather calls for warm meals. Our Oglesby Ravs are ready, while supplies last! Come by the parish office, $6 per bag, two bags per family. Don’t forget the sauce! Dalla Campanella traditional three meat spaghetti sauce from Holy Rosary Shrine is also available at our Parish Office

Annual Diocesan Appeal

The 2021 Annual Diocesan Appeal is underway. Your support of this year’s Appeal ensures that essential charitable, educational and pastoral ministries of the Diocese of Peoria are continued and carried forward. Unpaid ADA becomes debt for us, while overpaid ADA becomes assessment free bonus! Giving to the ADA is the best way to financially support our parish!

Advent Confessions

Additional Confession times to prepare for Christmas will be each Wednesday evening of Advent from 6:00 p.m. until all are heard.

Altar and Rosary Society

The Altar & Rosary Society is always ready to welcome new members! Our group of ladies holds a couple of fundraisers each year to support various needs of the church including candles, Baptismal supplies, communion hosts and altar wine, and altar linens. At our monthly meetings, we offer the rosary for those of our parish that has recently passed away, discuss different projects, and simply enjoy a time of fellowship.

Box of Joy Christmas Project
The ladies of the Altar & Rosary Society cannot thank you enough for your participation in the Boxes of Joy program which provides Christmas gifts to children in poor countries. Deena Pavinato delivered 90 filled boxes to Peoria! A special thank you also goes
to the Oglesby Elks #2360 for their monetary donation to assist with shipping costs.

Food Pantry

We are asking parishioners when purchasing items for the food pantry to avoid canned goods. The best donations are items that are ready-to-eat and do not require preparation in a kitchen. Examples of great items to donate are boxed cereals, jello cups, granola bars, and cheese & crackers. Also, we are happy to accept any toiletry items you would like to donate. Soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste are also always in demand.

Volunteers always Welcome!

Have you considered donating your time and talent to the parish? We could always use a few extra readers at Mass and ushers to take up the collection at the offertory. If you can help out, please call Jennifer at the parish office to volunteer. We will accomodate your Mass time preference.

St. Martin Society

Our Team wishes to thank the November meal volunteers for providing delicious homemade meals this month. Clients and staff were very appreciative and very grateful! Monetary donations to the Society enabled us to provide additional necessites as well. We are all excited how this endeavor has managed to help so many. If you’d like to join our work, please contact the parish office to get signed up!
